With the
holiday season coming to an end, poker players from all around the world are preparing
for what seems to be a very busy beginning of the year 2008. Playing
poker has never been this exciting, every year more locations are getting added
to the major tournaments while some other that have been running for several
years are also gaining attention from the general public. The year 2007 will be
memorable among poker players due the poker tournaments success around the
globe. China’s
first participation in the Asian Pacific poker Tour was probably the most
important new event of this year due its historic transcendence.
January offers
multiple poker tournaments to choose from, while players will be starting the
year with a trip to the Atlantis Resort in Bahamas
for the Caribbean Poker Adventure, which is a completely new stop of the
European Poker Tour. The first event of the year event will start on January 5th,
and due to the more tolerant age restrictions, many of the top young online phenomenons
will be joining in this live circuit for the first time. If the
Caribbean sun and hot temperatures aren’t include in your dream poker
adventure, players can also find a way to participate in the Aussie Millions, the
Crown Casino is hosting this renamed poker tournament that will kick off next
January 13th, featuring $1 million guaranteed in the $10.000
main event. Several sites offered seats for this event including Full
Tilt Poker and Titan
Poker.
But if
traveling outside the U.S isn’t really what you’re looking for, then you don’t
have to worry, there is plenty of action in the U.S running all year long. With events running at
both the Gold Strike Casino, and The Grand Casino, Mississippi will be buzzing
with both a WSOP Circuit Event and a WPT Main Event. And if all this
is still not enough for you, you can always head north to Atlantic City, to the always amazing Borgata Hotel and Casino. At the end of January, the Borgata is hosting the Winter Open, which
