Poker After Dark has to be the best poker show of all television poker shows.  Evey major poker star is on at least once and the producers always seem to have a themed week, which always makes it more exciting.

Poker After Dark is also different because unlike any other show, Poker After Dark is hand-for-hand.  No action is every missed as one sit-and-go tournament for 20,000 dollars is a week long.  This week's players included Doyle Brunson, Gavin Smith, Daniel Negranu, and Phil Ivey.  There were also two others to which I had forgot.

The heads up match ended up being Gavin Smith vs Phil Ivey.  Ivey had about 80,000 chips and Gavin had about 40,000, which makes up the total prize pool of 120,000 dolalrs.  Smith had been catching cards throughout the match and Smith overcame the odds and won, while he was drunk might I add.  Ivey's two pair would be good on the turn, but his small bets did not scare off Gavin who would call with his draws and hit, which netted him a lot of chips.

Overall it was a great match and I cannot wait to see what players are going to be on on Monday.  Check it out on NBC at 2 a.m.
