Las Vegas InformationNASCAR’s Preseason Thunder testing continues at Las Vegas Motor Speedway January 30th to the 31st. Drivers and teams from the NASCAR Nationwide Series will go down on the track in the Nevada desert one day after the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series completes its two day session there.

More than 40 drivers representing over 30 NASCAR Nationwide Series teams are expected to take part in the testing sessions, one of the greatest motor sports attractions in Las Vegas. Double-duty drivers who go on to California will share their cars with teammates or substitute drivers so the training practice can keep going for the seven 1.5-mile tracks on the 2008 series schedule. The Las Vegas test will present seven former series drivers, owner and some drivers who didn’t participate in the NASCAR Preseason Thunder sessions at Daytona, including Mike Bliss and Bobby Hamilton Jr.

Media attending the testing sessions will have the chance to dialogue with participating drivers at their personal haulers during the lunch break or following each day's testing session.

“The agenda for the teams will be different than at Daytona. It’s the first time they’ll be out on the race track with the tapered spacer in the engine versus the restrictor plate that we used at Daytona during testing over the last week. The teams also worked hard in the off season to get as much down force in these cars and make them turn better.” said NASCAR Nationwide Series director Joe Balash
