Holding Emotions In....

Crying, whining, shouting, pouting and screaming
are all forms and symbols to express emotion! Depending on the situation,
all of those listed could be good or bad. Recently i was playing online
poker, and took a pretty sick bad beat. I won’t go into extreme detail, but we
have all had those in which made our teeth cringe (Yeah, it was one of those). Instead
of cursing, or pouting, I decided to type in gg and see other People’s
reactions, ty’s gg right back in return. I even got an "unlucky man" from the
guy who served it to me. I just continued on my way and decided to move along. This
is when I came up with this statement that all players should abide by:
"if you cannot hold your emotions in, then don’t play the game at
all..."
This simply means, if you take a bad beat or get unlucky and you cry about it cursing your luck or the player then the fact is simple: don’t play. It’s natural to become upset, but there is a limit to which one needs to just put it behind them and keep moving. If you can’t handle the heat then get out of the oven. And trust me this poker game is straight fire.
It’s awesome to have personality and sudden moments of ludicrous outbursts; however a solid player will just nod their head and walk away. Notice how I said solid, rather than good.
Hope everyone understands where I am coming from on this one...Be mature and don’t cry if you get a bad beat. It happens to all of us; and it’s simple: it’s going to happen, period.
