I am a student at USF and enjoy playing poker online and live in Tampa florida... I am obsessed with the gorgeous game of soccer and have been over to europe to experience the world cup! Also I support the TB Bucs and Lightning; not to mention the Manchester United football club...
View all articles by Justin PrinceJust last night I played
poker with fellow employees for the first time. Was it weird? You bet. Was it easy? Definitely.
Overall, the people I work with are a bunch of lunatics! Working at a
supermarket, the ages ranged from 18-45. Since these oldies are no high
rollers, we only played a 10 dollar buy in game in which 12 players played.
Since I was the only one who knew anything about structure and poker tournaments I set up two tables in the break room, 6 players to a table we got
underway.
I couldn’t tell if these people were tired from a long day, or just plain
donkey. At first, I was folding middle pair; however, as time went on I was re rising
with Ace high.
In the end, it was extremely fun. They are a bunch of good people who
really can be cool. The best part wasn't even the poker. It was the
gossip on the managers! AHAHA, what great times.
Have you ever played with
your fellow employees? You should definitely try it after closing
hours. You will get to know them better, and even gain more (or less)
respect for them.
All in all i finished the
tournament in 3rd, good for my buy in plus 7 bucks (We had a math
genius to sort things out). My JJ got busted by A2 and I packed up and
left the desolate break room... My shirt was sweaty... Not from working but more
so the fact that I had to play shorthanded with 2 middle age women and one 75
year old grandpa!
Good look everyone...
