Two weeks have passed since a massive fire affected the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and since then, there have been several reports announcing that the Las Vegas hotel was under repair and that soon was going to be back on business, however, there wasn’t an official date for the re-opening until yesterday night when the Hotel officials announced that the Monte Carlo will re-open next Friday 15th.

The fire damaged to the upper levels and required a complete evacuation of the hotel. Las Vegas Fire Department investigators said that a cutting torch used to install a walkway on the roof started the fire.

The hotel will start its operations as usual with a total of 1,200 guest rooms available. Another 1,300 rooms will be ready for opening on February 22nd and the remaining 500 rooms situated on the higher floors will remain closed until further notice.
