Las Vegas is one of the most astonishing
culinary destinations in the world; the city’s restaurant chart features some
of the best and greatest chefs in the whole country as well as some of the most
acclaimed chefs in a variety of different styles including Japanese, Chinese, Thai,
French, Italian and many more. A group of
the most selected chefs in the world will gather in Las Vegas to take part at the Vegas Uncork'd,
a Bon Appetit Epicurean Experience. Some of the chefs invited for this event
are David Walzog, Michael Mina, Alex Stratta and Kerry Simon among others.
Vegas Uncork'd will be
taking place from May 8th to the 11th; the event is
organized Bon Appetit Magazine, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority
and an elite group of Las Vegas Hotels and Casinos, including the Bellagio, Caesars Palace,
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Lake
Las Vegas, and Wynn Las
Vegas which will be holding more than 25 events. Famous chef Wolfgang Puck will
co-manage and supervise the culinary events along with Bon Appetit
Editor-in-Chief, Barbara Fairchild. Puck was the first famous chef in opening a
series of gourmet restaurants in Las
Vegas, including Spago, Chinois, Postrio, Trattoria
del Lupo, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill and CUT. Bon Appetit Executive Chef and
Iron Chef Cat Cora will also be participating.
Some of the must sees at
the Las Vegas Uncork'd 2008 include a Tale of Five Chefs Gala at Bellagio; a tasty
wrap-up brunch and a cocktail at Wynn Las Vegas and the Grand Tasting and a
Masters vs. Rookies Pro-Am competition, both at Caesars Palace. The Hard Rock
Hotel & Casino will run a poker tournament after dinner, while an amazing musical
show at Lake Las Vegas Resort will officially open the Hotel’s Summer Concert
Series.
