Many people
ask about how to calculate the poker
Rakeback. They want to know what it is and how it works. I have just
recently found out how it works on Full Tilt of Poker. Rakeback is a term used
to describe the house “cut” on any given ring game or tournament in poker.
In
tournament play, the rakeback
is deducted from the entry fee, where as in a ring game the rake is deducted
from every hand in where the flop is dealt. If everyone folds or gives a walk
to the BB, then the rake is not deducted. There is maximum amount the house
takes as rake, usually ranging from $3-$5. That means the house will get no
more $3-$5 on any given hand.
The rake is
usually .05 for every dollar in the pot on the lower ring game levels. Now if
you have a rakeback deal then you get a portion of the rake the house takes in
back at the end of every month. To figure you rake you take the rake per hand
divided by the number of players at the table. Once you get that figure you
multiply that by whatever the rakeback percentage that the online poker site
offers. Then that’s how much rake you made for that one hand.
Here’s a
simple figure to know a rake of $3 at a 9 player table. You can use the same
formula and just modify the number of players at the table.
Rake - $3 / 9 = .33
Site’s Rake = 27%
Rake back for hand = .09
For that hand you would receive $0.09.
