star Jay-Z thought that having one club in New York
and another in Jersey wasn’t enough and that’s
why he decided to open the 40/40 club on the Las Vegas strip. Built on a premise of
a sports themed bar with many VIP sections along with a very relaxed grown up
atmosphere, the brand new $20 million Las Vegas club follows the footsteps of its
highly successful twin brothers, the 40/40 Clubs in New York and Atlantic City.
The club located in the Palazzo Las Vegas features 85 plasma screens, five
bars, five V.I.P. halls and an exclusive dining area. The 24,000 square foot
club several levels for customers to enjoy all the sporting events you can
imagine, future franchises are also planned to open in several other locations
including Tokyo, Japan, and Macau during the next few years.
The club
counts with capacity to allocate 2000 people and it is the only club in Las
Vegas that has its own gaming lounge exclusive for guests who want to gamble,
including reserved tables for famous faces such as Phil Ivey and Irv Gotti. The
40/40 Club has its own “carte” and serves a selection of dishes tat range from the
typical sports bar food to tacos and pizzas to more sophisticated dishes and
gourmet food. A place to watch the game you ask? The 40/40 has MVP Mondays; a
special night exclusively dedicated to sports in where you can watch all games all
night long.
The club’s
decoration was carefully selected and matches perfectly with the exclusive
atmosphere, there are autographed Jerseys from famous players hanging as well
as a series of sports collector memorabilia, pictures and other sports related
items. The list of celebrities who have enjoyed the 40/40 club includes
baseball stars Alex Rodriguez and Barry Bonds; Julius “Dr J” Irving and Charles Barkley, musical artist Wind
and Fire, Mary J. Blige, as well as Jay-Z’s other half Beyonce.
