Considered
as a classic location in Las Vegas,
the Fireside Lounge at the Peppermill has been voted “Best Cocktail Service”, “Best
Exotic Drinks” and “Most Romantic Bar” by several important magazines such as
Las Vegas Magazine and Casino Magazine. The Peppermill Fireside Lounge is also
an excellent choice for anyone who’s looking for a great bar outside the noisy
and crowded Las Vegas Hotels and who wants to enjoy the best drink selection in
Sin City as well as oner of the most
exclusive atmospheres in town.
Located on
the Las Vegas strip at 2985 S. Las Vegas Blvd, the Peppermill
Fireside Lounge is one of the only Las Vegas bar that never has a cover charge to
get in. But it is a bar so of course its only 21 years old and older
allowed in. There is no dress code so you can come from the tables or a
great day of golf with no problems. But once you get inside, and
probably the best part about the place, it’s like stepping into a time
machine back about 30 years. This is old-school bar and lounge is the Las Vegas baby at its finest, the waitresses all dress
nice in long evening gowns and it feels like genuine old Las Vegas vibe. And depending on what
months of the year you visit you might get to see the nice fire pit and
take a seat right next to in the winter months.
When you walk
in you slip into a feeling that resembles the old Rat-Pack days. The nostalgic
feeling can be sensed in every single detail at the bar, starting
with the circular seats, fake floral foliage, low neon, and electric candles as
well as the other kitsch elements
present at bar’s the decoration. The drink menu is pretty vast, the
drink prices are cheap and the selection of appetizers is great and counts with great dishes such as crab cakes, shrimps,
ribs, mozzarella sticks, nachos, chicken strips, etc. I would say if you’re
looking for a upbeat, loud atmosphere then this is not the right bar for you, but
if your looking for a very cool and relaxed atmosphere with some soft jazz
playing, this is the place to be. Once your there and ready to order a drink
I would suggest that you should have a Scorpion at some point, but of
course if you are being a bit nostalgic, which you should be by this
point, I would go for a little Bourbon and a couple of stones (ice). No
need to shake it James Bond Style. Open 24 hours, the Peppermill Fireside
Lounge is definitely a must visit at some point on your Las Vegas Vacation.
