So, how many times have you been playing for hours and the best hand you’ve gotten is K-10?
Well of course, it can be boring, but say instead of 2 cards you got 4, now there is some excitement. Say in Hold’em you get 7-5, well in Omaha if you get 7- 5- 6 -8 it gets interesting. However, most people who move on to Omaha do not know the game to well.

First off... you have to use 2 of your pocket cards, unlike Texas Hold’em where you can use both, one, or the community. Secondly, if you get A-A and 2 other rags, it is not golden! Do not keep betting on the flop with many players in the hand if the flop is 6 7 8, as most likely your pair is not good. This is one thing I see so many times at the low limit tables. I know its boring, but really, if you want to start Omaha, play for play money first!
Say you get J-10 clubs and 6-7 hearts. That is not a great hand but may be worth a limp. Now, say the flop is J-10-A all of hearts. Now you have 2 pair, and a flush. But, if there are more than 3 people in the hand, you can basically kiss your 7 high flush goodbyes. Even your 2 pair may not be good as someone could be holding A-10 or A-J

Overall what I am trying to say is Hold’em is much different from Omaha poker. Play tight, and realize that if your hand is not close to the nuts, you are probably not good.
