Everyday a hit and run occurs. On the streets, and on the virtual felt, the end results are all the same. "They make me sick."
When I used to play micro stakes, I mastered the hit and run.  Back then, it was beautiful. Knowing which games to play, what poker tables to sit at, and even which players to hunt, pounce, then run away faster than your computer could move, doing the "hit-n-run" was a thrill.  After I developed my play to the next level, I finally realized how awful the hit-n-run was to the game of poker. Players with no skill who perform the hit-n-run should recognize the advantages and disadvantages of this action. Win you double up: you win very small usually; likewise when you lose, you lose small. No big deal right?  This unfortunately is not the case.  When you win off a hit-n-run move, your mind becomes excited.  One is thrilled to have made money with the easy click of the all-in button. Also, the same goes for when you lose. Seeing on how it is so simple to do: when one loses a hit-n-run, it clearly affects the players mind.

Whenever I used to hit-n-run, I would think about how it made the other player feel. Know, whenever I do get the hit-n-run job, I laugh. (Unless if it’s more than ten dollars.)

Hit And Runs Never occur in sit-n-go's. Why? Its' simple: You can’t run
Only in cash games are hit-n-runs' able to occur. Thus, if your afraid of the average hit and run player, do not play small staked cash games during an online poker session. Normally, in higher staked games, the average player does not hit and run. That is why I fell in love with the $.25/.50 HU cash table.

The hit-n-run is not performed by a donkey or shark. This type of player is in a category of its own. They are afraid to play poker. They are scared to play versus real opponents. That is another reason why hit and run players will rarely be found in brick and mortar casinos.
