Clark County authorized staff engineers are currently checking permits and running general inspections in five more Las Vegas hotels located on the Strip. Last year several hotels were inspected by the Clark County Fire Department to check the possibility of code violations in the hotels fire alarm system. The Clark County inspectors are specifically checking five Harrah’s hotels including Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Caesars Palace, Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino, Paris Las Vegas and Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon.

Clark county representatives declared that Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. has been checking every single work done at all its Las Vegas hotels in anticipation, an action that is helping the inspectors to locate the exact areas that should be checked due the massive amount of documentation and records kept by the company. Harrah’s vice president and spokeswoman Marybel Batjer, have expressed that the company is collaborating and fully assisting every single inspection work done at Harrah’s properties.

Batjer also said that some problems were found in three of the properties owned by Harrah’s including the Flamingo Las Vegas, Harrah’s Las Vegas and the Rio Hotel and Casino. She says that these violations of building and safety codes have been fixed and that some of the issues reported come long before Harrah’s purchased the properties.
