The Las Vegas Review-Journal staff of “connoisseurs” and readers has released the list of the “Best of Las Vegas” awards. But selecting the “Best of Las Vegas” is always a hard task, the locals and the Las Vegas Review-Journal staff never seem to agree on what’s the Best, this year both parts only agreed in only one of the categories, picking the Palms Resort and Casino as the “Best place to play Slots“.

The Bellagio Las Vegas was voted as the “Top Strip hotel” by the subscribed readers; however staffers choose the Caesars Palace due the upgrades and improvements in its restaurants and its selection of shows including Bette Midler “The show must go on”.

Readers voted the Bellagio “Best buffet”, something that doesn’t really surprise anyone due the incredible quality of its restaurants and its great service and attention.  This category is pretty hard considering the amount of different alternatives found in Las Vegas, even so, journalist gave Le Village buffet at Paris Las Vegas the award in the “Best buffet” category. Le Village Buffet's exclusive French and Provencal recipes are always prepared as they are ordered to ensure the quality and freshness of each dish, guarantying the best of the best at any time of the day.

The Golden Nugget Las Vegas was considered by the readers as the “Best downtown hotel”, on the other hand, the newspaper staff selected the century-old Golden Gate Hotel & Casino due its historical transcendence and importance. Established in 1906, the Golden Gate is also the smallest hotel on Fremont Street with only 106 rooms. Believe it or not, the Golden Gate’s shrimp cocktail created a Las Vegas tradition and still is named "Best of Las Vegas" year after year. Readers selected the Red Rock Casino Resort Spa as the “Best "locals" hotel” while the journalist team choose the Santa Fe Station Hotel Casino as the winner in the same category.
