Everyday, thousands of
people make money transfers from one account to another in online poker
rooms. It is so common, that approval is done within a matter of
minutes. Like a banking system, money is
sent through numbers. Majority of online poker rooms have
this feature available to their players. It is something vital in an
online poker community.
Although I agree that transferring money is indeed a good thing for the economy
of online poker rooms, I certainly believe everyone that does so must be very
careful. It is secured software, and one does not have to worry about the
money never making it to its destination. However, that is not the main
issue. Since transferring is so easy, players often click to fast, and accidentally
ship off money to players they don't even know existed. In fact, in order
to prevent the fast pace clicking, many internet poker rooms provide an overview
of that players account information. This is so because player
A, has a legit, visual of player B's profile. (Player B is the receiver
of the transfer).
I myself have accidentally fell victim to this. Trying to send money to a
close friend, I accidentally typed in one number off. However the $10
sent, was lost in cyber Full Tilt Poker space. It was like I took a ten
dollar bill, and simply handed it over like it was no big deal. And for
what? Because I was being impatient is the exact answer.
If a player is sending money from his checking account to a savings account,
that person would expect their money to be secure and safe. The same
should apply to your online poker money account as well. Treat your
cashier as if it were your personal bank. (In all honesty, it truly is
anyway)
Be smart while making real money transfers on any online poker site. Patience
is a must. Rushing could result in an error which
nevertheless, gives free money to an unknown person.

Hi Justin, Thank you for writing this. I have a question and hopefully you can help me regarding real money transfer. I met someone and gave them cash to transfer money to my online poker and the amount is high, after receiving the funds for a few days. My account is frozen because that person made a complaint to what I do not know. Now poker stars said they are reviewing the situation, I was wondering can they take the money back and if they do then I would loose the money I gave that person in cash. Please let me know more about money transfer and if they can they really take my money out. Thank you in advance.

Ladypoker; sorry it has taken me so long to review my article comments.
This situation seems fishy. Not to be rude but, who did you pay in cash that would doublecross you in this sort of way!!??
be smart who you deal with.
Keep up the fight, for you are the victim here.
