Online poker site PokerTime announced this week that it’s about to start to moving its platform to a private network starting sometime this month. PokerTime is looking to distinguish itself from the rest of the Microgaming Network and its main goal at the moment is to set the foundations to become a private poker room. PokerTime.com is also taking advantage of this move as a way to reach a better lifetime value from their customers. But the plan is also to develop better promotions and bigger bonuses as well as new and improved high-stakes tournaments. However, Poker Time will keep using Microgaming’s thanks to its reliability, graphics and great support.

“By moving our small-stakes tables onto a private network we’ll be able to immediately add value to our mass market. Our focus will be on successfully growing this community. Initially, PokerTime will begin by moving all of their Texas Hold’Em tables with stakes of $1/$2 and below onto a private network. At this point, nothing will change with regards to their high-stakes tables.” said James Grant, Customer Relationship Manager of PokerTime.

PokerTime will start moving all of its Hold’em tables with stakes of $1/$2 by the end of May. Still, PokerTime players will continue enjoying to the best of the Microgaming tournaments and software in a new and exclusive environment. “In essence, we’ll be giving them the best of both worlds.” expressed Grant.
