The amount of gambling in
Excitement - This would seem to be the most
obvious reason. Men and women both enjoy the adrenaline rush of putting their
money on the line. They do not think about nor seem to care about what the
consequences are of losing.
Sports - That reason speaks for itself. The
sports betting activity is becoming a natural occurrence among gamblers. The
reason being is that there are so many different options as far as betting on
sports, not to mention the large amount of online sportsbetting sites available
on the net. Gamblers can bet on many different events including the Kentucky
Derby, NBA finals, the World Series, and the all popular Super Bowl. Sports
betting is also popular among gamblers because of how often you can bet on it.
On a regular season, teams play 162 MLB games, 82 NBA games, and 16 NFL games;
all of which could be bet on. No matter what laws the government applies, the
truth is that sportsbetting will remain popular as long as sports are around.
Chasing Riches- Who is not searching for the
American dream? Almost every gambler has the dream of hitting the jackpot or
getting the big payout. A major reason many people show up for a World Series of Poker even is
because of its ability to cost them a few thousand and allow them to walk away
with hundreds of thousands. If gambling had no chance of having a big payout at
anytime, obviously its popularity would be much smaller.
FUN!!- Yes, some people gamble for fun.
However, there can still be money involved when gambling for fun. If you and
your best friend’s favorite NFL teams are going head to head this week, you and
him can have a $50 bet. The fun gambling often comes from stuff like fantasy
football, March Madness brackets, and other fantasy sports.
The popularity of gambling
is still growing and expanding.

I do not understand why people don,t take back the casinos and stop playing. Over the last few years they have changed all the video poker paybacks and cut blackjack to a 6/5 payout instead of 3/2. If we all stopped playing till they put fair games back in play the public would be much better off. Speak up tell them you want full pay video poker etc.
