The 2008
World Series of Poker in Las Vegas is about to kick off, the most important
poker tournament on the planet will feature 54 events and will pay millions of
dollars in prizes. Almost ever poker player that consider him/herself a
credible fan knows about the relevance of the World Series, but during summer,
it is really easy to find other poker tournaments and events in Las Vegas. The WSOP at
the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino is by far the most important event if the
year, however, many other casinos have a series of reasonably priced tournaments
prepared for all those poker players and fans that will be in town for the
summertime.
Binion's
Horseshoe for example, will feature the Annual Binion's Poker Classic; the second
edition of this extraordinary poker event will be running the Poker Classic
from May 28th to July 8th and comprises a total of 43
tournaments with buy-ins beginning at $150. In addition, Binion’s will also
have special $100 buy in events for ladies, seniors and casino employees. The
$2,000 Championship Event will be held on July 7th, Binion’s is also
running $220 qualifying satellites for the final event on July 5th and
6th.
The Caesars Palace will also host the Mega Stack
Series, the only series to offer No Limit Texas Hold'em every single day from
June 1st to the 9th. Buy-ins for the Mega Stack Series range
from $230 to $550, and there's a two-day $1060 Championship on July 7th.
The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino will also host the Grand Poker Series on
June 6th, the buy-ins for this tournament are $225, $330, $550 and $1080
for the Grand Finale on July 5th.
The glamorous Venetian Resort and Casino will hold the Deep Stack
Extravaganza, a series of tournaments with buy ins that range from $540 to
$2500 and $5000 for the grand final on July 13th.
