How
to deal with aggressive players? Easy, here are some principles to keep in mind
if you are playing against an aggressive player which might help you to keep
your calm and feel very comfortable against these types of poker players. You
may:
- Switch the games, if
you're playing at a cash game where an aggressive poker player is there and you're
having difficulties to take any dime against, then choosing another table might
be a solution.
- Or just wait until you
have the nuts, a solution is that you wait until you have the nuts and the take
everything from him but this is probably very hard and may take a while.
- Get fed up with him, if
you feel a weakness exploit it by forcing him to make a decision by re-raising
all in with a decent hand. You might get called and win as he would probably
think you're bluffing.
- Talk, whenever you win a
hand let him know that you're the best and is playing so good and if you lose
tell him that it's their fault for playing stupid, this might work. What I mean
there is that you should do what Hellmuth usually do.
- Try a limit game that
will for sure stop his aggressiveness.
- By playing tight against
him, you won't win as many pots as him but make sure that your winning pots
against him are big and his winning pots against you are small.
