The Treasure Island Music Festival will shake San Francisco’s ground next September 20^th, 2008 when some of the best Indie, Electro and Alternative bands and performers hit the stage for the second edition of the music festival. The two-day festival organized by Another Planet Entertainment and Noise will take place in Treasure Island, which is located right in the middle of the San Francisco Bay. Treasure Island was built using filling material for the Expo in 1939. The island was built by the federal government and was originally conceived to be used as an airport for Pan American Airline's Pacific Rim.

After a successful first edition of the festival in 2007, both the organizers and the bands invited are ready to rock San Francisco, the festival is planned to run for two days and each day is also set in two different music moods or styles. The first day is set up more for electronic oriented and experimental bands while Sunday will be dedicated more towards the Indie and Alternative Rock scene. The Treasure Island Music Festival

The Raconteurs, Tegan & Sara, Vampire Weekend, Spiritualized, Okkervil River, Tokyo Police Club, The Kills, Dr. Dog, John Vanderslice, The Dodos and Fleet Foxes

Treasure Island Music Festival runs from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. each day. There will also be a limited quantity of VIP tickets sold as a four-pack, which includes four VIP tickets to one day of the festival, parking spot on the island, preferred viewing area, VIP Lounge with full bar and other amenities.
