Morris Day and The Time at the Flamingo Las Vegas

The
original members of the legendary R&B funk group the TIME will perform a
series of shows at the Flamingo Las Vegas throughout the summer beginning June
24th and ending on August 2nd. There have been more than
two decades since Morris Day, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Jesse Johnson Jerome
Benton, Jelly Bean Johnson and Monte Moir performed their last live show.
The Time performed a short
act at the 50th Grammy awards in February, playing "Jungle Love" and progressively
switching over mid-song to a slightly down-tempo version of
"Umbrella" by Rihanna, just to continue with "Don't Stop the
Music." Also, in April Morris Day performed with Prince at the ninth
annual Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in
The Time started as musical
project financed and produced by Prince, also, the Time’s front man. Morris Day
made a special appearance in Prince’s movie “Purple Rain”. The Time never
reached the top chart and in 1985 the band decided to take a break, however,
the Time came back in 1990 with the impressive and shamelessly funky “Pandemonium.
The band is
currently rehearsing and preparing the material in

the show will be yet. It's just like the beginning of sex. You know
what the goal is, but you don't know what the path is to get there." said
Morris Day. “The timing needed to be perfect;” he continued “With new
artists sampling old-school music, my phone started ringing off the hook.
I knew it was the right time.”
Morris Day and the Time concerts
are scheduled at 7:30 pm in the Flamingo Showroom from June 24-28, July 1-5 and
