Las Vegas discount couponsCalifornia-based airline Virgin America has announced the company’s intention to add a daily non-stop flight from New York's John F. Kennedy International (JFK) to the Las Vegas McCarran International (LAS) airports. The airline will launch the new flight on September 4th, 2008. Virgin America's JFK-LAS fares start at $159 one way in the Main Cabin and $599 one way in First Class, however, prices may change at any moment.

Not long ago, Virgin America also announced it a plan to implement a flight from SFO and LAX to Chicago O'Hare International Airport in late 2008, still, the plan is currently waiting for the government’s approval. The announcement comes in times in where flight to and from Las Vegas are in high demand. Not long ago, several airlines reduced the amount of flights to Vegas due the recent fuel price escalation. But the reduction in the amount of flights and consequently in the amount of visitors could have an immense impact on the city’s economy, particularly for the Las Vegas hotel industry and the sector related to tourism and recreation.

"This is a non-stop flight in high demand for both leisure and business travelers. With attractive fares and features like cabin mood lighting, leather seats and the most advanced in-flight entertainment system in the U.S. skies -- Virgin America's upscale, high-value service is the perfect way to travel between two great cities that never sleep." said Virgin America President and CEO David Cush.

Virgin America was launched in August 2007 and is the best financed new airline in U.S. history. Virgin America offers its passengers low prices, discounts and special offers and ingenious features including power outlets and 9-inch video touch-screens at every seat with access to the 25 hottest movies of the moment, live TV, a food ordering system, MP3 library, video games, Google Maps and seat-to-seat chat feature.

Virgin America currently flies to seven cities with several daily flights from San Francisco (SFO) to Los Angeles (LAX), SFO to New York (JFK), SFO to San Diego (SAN), SFO to Washington (IAD), SFO to Las Vegas (LAS), SFO to Seattle (SEA), LAX to JFK, LAX to IAD and LAX to SEA.
