Emblaze
Productions has joined forces with Full Tilt Poker to create a new surprising
and exhilarating poker television series. Airing on Sky Sports in February
2009, Full Tilt Poker Million Pound Challenge, exclusive for online poker
players in the UK, will take
place in London
on September, 2008 prior to the filming of season three of the Million Dollar
Cash Game. The tournament sponsored by Full Tilt Poker and produced by Emblaze
Productions, will feature 80 online qualifiers who will travel to London for the chance to play
against Team Full Tilt pros Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen and Patrik Antonius in a heads
up match and get One Million Pounds.
"This
will be the first show of its kind in the UK and must see TV for all poker
enthusiasts. A spectacular event culminating in a £1,000,000 play-off, this
will be TV drama at its very best," said James Hopkins from Emblaze
Productions Ltd.

wanting to participate will only be able to do so by registering online at FullTiltPoker.com.
The online poker site will be running Freeroll Qualifiers to the Million £
Challenge once a day, from July 12th to September, 2008. New members
of FullTiltPoker.com who make their first deposit will get a free ticket into a
one of the 56 Free Poker Qualifiers. Also, all players will get a free
qualifier entry once they accumulate 100 FTP’s, 2 tickets if they accumulate
500 FTP’s, 3 entries for 1500 FTP’s and entries for 3000 FTP’s. Full Tilt Poker
will also be hosting qualifier tournaments three times a week, Saturday, Sunday
and Monday. The winners of these Million £ Challenge qualifiers will get a seat
in the Million Pound Challenge. Saturday and Monday qualifiers feature a $5.50
buy in, while Sunday qualifiers cost $11.
Each of the
80 online qualifiers will receive £1,000 spending cash to make their way to London for the event. The
winner of the Million £ Challenge will receive a £50,000 prize and a chance to
face three Full Tilt Pros in heads-up matches. If the player wins one Heads Up,
he/she will get £100,000, winning to heads ups will award the player £200,000
and winning all the heads ups will pay the lucky player a total of £1,000,000.
