Ladbrokes Poker has recently introduced qualification satellites for the Ladbrokes Irish Poker Festival taking place in the pleasing city of Killarney, Ireland from October 2nd to October 5th, 2008 (The Main Event will be taking place from October 3rd to the 5th). The event features a €550 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of €250,000 and which is expected to attract more than 800 players to the Gleneagles INEC Hotel, Killarney. There will be an additional €300 no-limit Hold’em freezeout running during the Festival as a supporting event on Saturday October 4th and a €170 no-limit freezeout game on Sunday October 5th.

Players can qualify for the event in three ways:

Players can qualify online at LadbrokesPoker for as little as $5 and win one of the $1,250 Packages which include the tournament buy in plus and 2 nights B&B for two people at the Gleneagle Hotel. Players will also have the chance to enter the $137.50 weekly final on every Monday at 7.30 p.m. (GMT) in where a package will be awarded for every $1,250 in the prize pool. There are regular satellites into the daily final starting as little as $5. The daily finals, which feed into the weekly final, have a $33 buy-in and are held from Tuesday to Sunday at 7.30 p.m. GMT.

Players can also pre-register for the €550 main event online 24/7 at Ladbrokespoker.com, all they need to do is to visit the MTT section of the lobby and go to offline events and click on the Ladbrokes Irish Poker Festival tab. There will also a series of live satellites in card rooms all over Ireland which will award a total of 150 seats, including a super-satellite held at the venue on October 2nd.
