Japan's female poker champion and Everest Poker sponsored player, Wooka Kim, also known online by the pseudonym --icebeer--, will be playing this August in Macau at the Asian Poker Tour and Asia Pacific Poker Tour, two of the most important poker tournaments in the region.

Kim was elected from thousands of participants on the EverestPoker.com Team at Everest Poker's 2008 Live the Dream event to be Everest Poker's ambassador in Asia and represent Everest Poker in all the major poker tournaments taking place from March 2008 to March 2009. Since Kim won the opportunity of her lifetime at the Live the Dream, she has taken part in some major poker tournaments in the world including the EPT Finale in Monaco and the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. She has seen great success in these tournaments taking home $25,090 from the WSOP.

Kim began playing poker on EverestPoker.com in 2006 and in a matter of a year she had won over $90,000. In May of 2007 she participated in the All Japan Poker Championship, the biggest and more relevant live poker tournament in Japan, taking the Ladies Tournament.

Now Kim will be playing in the 2008 edition of the Asian Poker Tour and Asia Pacific Poker Tour in Macau as a part of the sponsorship deal she has with EverestPoker. The APT Macau will run from August 27th to August 31st at the Galaxy StarWorld Hotel and Casino in Macau. More than 500 players are expected to show up for the $5,000+300 main event. The APPT Macau will be held at the Grand Waldo Hotel and Casino from September 1st to September 9th. The buy in for this event is $3000 + 200 with an expected prize pool of $1.3 million.
