Producers of NBC’s Poker After Dark, have revealed that they will film the 2009 season at the legendary Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Located in Downtown Las Vegas right on Fremont Street, the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino is one of the last ‘Old Vegas’ establishments that has survived the generational change and economic and architectural rupture created by the new Mega Resorts and Strip Projects in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Recently the Golden Nugget has held several tournaments, including the Continental Airlines sponsored tournament and now the Poker After Dark show is going to be recorded in its brand new events center

The show’s recording will take place between October 26th and November 5th at the Golden Nugget. Also, Poker After Dark gorgeous host, Leeann Tweeden will be back for the entire 60-episode season. The 2009 season will maintain the six-handed $20,000 buy-in winner-take-all format including the high-stakes live games. The only change announced for the 2009 season is the addition of several extra cash games.

NBC’s Poker After Dark is known for putting together the best poker players in the world including, Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth, John Juanda, Andy Bloch, Jennifer Harman, Phil Laak, Mike Mattusow, Gabe Kaplan, Daniel Negreanu, Mike Sexton, Chris Ferguson, Greg Raymer, Gus Hansen, Patrick Antonius, Johnny Chan, Roland de Wolfe, Scotty Nguyen and Doyle Brunson to mention some.

The fifth season broadcast will begin on December 29th at 2:05 a.m. The tournament will air every week from Tuesday-Saturday at the same time with a special one-hour “Director’s Cut” episode that reviews and summarizes the best moments running on Sunday at 1 a.m.
