Spa and Casino, the all-new $1 billion Las Vegas hotel and resort to be
completed in the Spring of 2009 on South Las Vegas Boulevard, has signed an
exclusive agreement with The Lightship Group, the largest airship operator in
the world, to bring a flying electronic lightship to Las Vegas, which by the way, is one of only three of
this ships currently in existence, for what is going to be the first massive outdoor campaign in Sin City.
The
lightship is part of a massive outdoor advertising campaign that uses visual
stimulation to increase the general attention and consequently to enhance sales.
The contract signed by M Resort will let them use a twin-engine A-170LS video
lightship, which is essentially a large electronic lightsign mounted on a zeppelin.
The screen uses a series of special LEDs (light emitting diodes) to project
images on the world's largest (70 ft x 30 ft) aerial screen. This screen is capable
to broadcast from live television and streaming video, to web sites, online
information, static images and offers all in high quality.
