In a press
release circulated by Party
Poker on Thursday, the online poker site announced that a new table look
will to be revealed next Monday, September 23rd. The new table look will
also be celebrated with a $50,000 customer freeroll taking place on Saturday
and a$10,000 freeroll media freeroll scheduled on October 18th, 2008.
Party
Poker developers invested thousands of hours designing the new table appearance
and other settings; the new design includes a bright green look with a Party
Poker logo located right on the center of a sharper oval table in where each
player has a display in front of the user name that shows the avatar and cards.
Some other
changes include the ability to browse your own player photos from the computer,
new “action buttons” including a large red Fold button, a blue Call button, and
a green Raise button. The sliding tool used to raise or reduce the bets laid has
also been improved and include new bet size options such as “Min,” “1/2 Pot,”
“3/4 Pot,” “Pot” and “Max”.
The new
software also features a new note-taking application and the chat area is
“easier to read and manage” according to PartyPoker. They also added Rebuy and
Deposit buttons over the chat so players won’t have to leave what they are
doing to go to the Party Poker’s cashier. Finally, the playing cards are easy
to read and include extra-large numbers and letters. The good part is that if
players don’t feel comfortable with the new look, they can always stick with PartyPoker’s
old version.
In addition, Party Poker will celebrate its new look with an amazing a $50,000 freeroll running on Saturday, September 20th. To qualify, PartyPoker.com players must accumulate 100 PartyPoints until Friday night. The freeroll is open for 8,000 seats, as soon as a player amasses the 100 points, he/she will be automatically registered for the event.
