2008 PBRThe 2008 Professional Bull Riders World Finals in Las Vegas presented by Wrangler showcases the best riders on the planet competing for more than $3.2 million in prizes. The PBR World Finals will extend for two consecutive weekends, starting on Thursday, October 31st- and ending on Sunday, November 9th. Both weekends of the PBR World Finals will be held at the Thomas & Mack Center at the University of Nevada.

The Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino will be the Official Host Hotel of the PBR and will provide accommodation for the Top 45 bull of the season. The hotel will host the PBR Fan Zone & Marketplace, and two of the Official "Nightclub PBRs" at Moorea Beach.

The PBR World Finals will gather 45 of the top Professional Bull Riders randomly matched against the toughest bulls in the sport. The top 15 highest total scores qualify for the final round of competition, which takes place during the second half of the Finals. The rider with the highest total score on the Finals gets the PBR World Finals title and more than $225,000

Last year’s champ, Guilherme Marchi from Brazil, will try to set new personal and PBR record and reach a double victory in the 2008 PBR finals in Las Vegas, the Brazilian bull rider has achieved 57 successful rides during the present season with a riding percentage of 70%. Marchi has scored over 11,500 BFTS points in the 2008 Season and is on his way to secure another World Title and the chance to win over $1 million if he wins the PBR World Finals event and the PBR World Champion.

Marchi will have to compete against some of the best riders in the PBR circuit, including Valdiron de Oliveira, another Brazilian and #2 in the world ranking, as well as 2005 PBR Rookie of the Year, Kody Lostroh, 2004 World Champ Mike Lee and former PBR World Champions, Justin McBride, Ednei Caminhas, and Adriano Moraes.
