2008 World Series of Poker Main Event finalist and member of the “November Nine” elite, Dennis Phillips will host an online auction on eBay for a prime logo spot on his shirt to help the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The auction kicks off today and will remain open until October 26th, 2008, companies and individuals can bid for a logo placement on Dennis Phillips' shirt, which will be visible during the 2008 World Series of Poker final table, event that will be broadcasted to millions of viewers around the globe on November 11th, 2008. The 2008 WSOP final table is expected to set new TV rankings poker history and is sure to be re-broadcasted at least eight times across ESPN networks.

 

"Being on the Final Table of the WSOP is an opportunity of a lifetime, but we hope that this opportunity will one day save someone's life," said Phillips

 

The player from St. Louis, Missouri is currently sponsored by PokerStars.net and leads the odds-on as the favorite player to win the title of Main Event champion. Phillips has donated funds to several causes since he became a main event finalist in July, including The Pujols Family Foundation. Phillips also said that he will help the “Put a Bad Beat on Cancer” organization with 1% of his final table winnings, amount that PokerStars is also committed to match. Dennis Phillips has been involved in the fight and prevention of Multiple Sclerosis and a long-time supporter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society when his brother was diagnosed with the disease about ten years ago.
