Online
Casino Advisory senior analyst, Sherman Bradley, is running a major campaign encouraging
citizens to put a “gambling embargo” on the state of Kentucky
by refusing to participate in any gambling activity or purchase products that
provide revenue to the state of Kentucky
as a response for the domain seizure ordered against 141 online gaming
companies. Bradley is also urging citizens to stop betting at Churchill Downs
this season and avoid visiting facilities used by Kentucky residents to wager on horses.
"We
ask all who are upset by the Kentucky
court case refrain from attending the race track season. Let Beshear and the
industry he wishes to protect see how misguided his attack is, and how angry
citizens are. The general public is viewing Beshear's actions as not only
unprecedented, but as fascist.... It is on par with something China would do. We at Online Casino
Advisory are calling for a boycott by all gamblers, civil libertarians, and
concerned protectors of the Internet of all products of Kentucky,
or anything that produces Kentucky
tax revenue. Until Beshear lifts his fascist order, every effort must be made
to hurt the state's coffers. The more that all the people who are appalled at
Beshear's Internet censorship, and what I believe to be a violation of the
Constitution, let him know that his actions will be met with reaction, the sooner
he realizes his mistakes." states Bradley on the Online Casino Advisory
website.
Bradley is
one of the many gambling industry representatives and prominent figures of the
Internet community that have expressed outrage and concern over Steve Beshear's
measures to confiscate domain names related to online gaming, online poker and
sportsbetting sites. Adversaries of Beshear’s actions maintain that this ruling
could take the country to an obscurantist era of censorship. Bradley is encouraging
news websites, media outlets, and all people in the gaming industry to support
the boycott. The Poker Players Alliance, which currently owns over 15,000
members in the state of Kentucky,
could be vital to the success of this protest.
