“Peepshow” to open in March, 2009 at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas

Producers of Peepshow, the new Las Vegas show set to open at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, have released a statement announcing that its new burlesque show will open for preview performances on March 30^th, 2009, with an opening party scheduled on April 18^th, 2009. Peepshow is an original production created by the Tony award-winning director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell and Las Vegas entertainment leader, BASE Entertainment.

The show will feature the pop superstar and former Spice Girl, Mel B as "Peep Diva", an intrepid and sexy character who guides "Bo Peep", a shy and introverted girl portrayed by the gorgeous TV star Kelly Monaco, in a self discovery journey that culminates with her transformation into a confident and sensual tigress.

"I'm thrilled to partner with Jerry Mitchell and BASE Entertainment, a team known for creating some of the most spectacular shows in Las Vegas. Because I'm coming out as a solo artist next year, I feel this show is putting me back in an arena that I'm most comfortable in and love doing most, which is performing and entertaining on stage." said Mel B.

After many years producing, directing, and choreographing Broadway events and shows, Mitchell has perfected an innovative concept that combines classic burlesque elements and the sensuality of the Striptease dance, creating a high-level production specifically conceived to match the highly energetic and fascinating world of the Las Vegas shows.

"Peepshow has been a dream of mine for a long time and now that dream is coming true. We have gathered 20 of the sexiest dancers from film, video, and Broadway to bring a truly American form of entertainment back to the strip. The art of the tease, mixed with humor, razzle-dazzle, and today's sexy music, with Peepshow these stunning dancers will use their bodies to tell a story." said the show’s director, Jerry Mitchell.

Besides the art and choreography direction from Jerry Mitchell, the celebrated designer David Rockwell has collaborated with the creation of the wicked fairytale world in where Peepshow takes place. Tony award-winning designer, Gregg Barnes, also worked in the confection of the sexy costumes exclusively design for the show. In addition, the show will be backed by an all-female band will be in charge of performing the catchy and modern music score.
