French
poker pro and high stakes expert, David Benyamine, has been removed from the
list of FullTiltPoker.com
list of red pros, the French player and WSOP bracelet winner has been playing
on Full Tilt’s site for the last weeks, however his red avatar has been removed
and his name is no longer listed on the official homepage with the other pros.
While Full Tilt has not released any statement explaining what’s going on with Benyamine,
it’s been rumored that he already got a deal with another online poker site. Other
sites have rumored that the reason behind Benyamine’s dismissal is the future
addition of Tom Dwan to Full Tilt’s Professional Poker Team.
Benyamine
has taken part in some of the biggest pots ever seen on Full Tilt site along
with Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, Guy Laliberte and Gus Hansen. For many online gaming
experts, Benyamine was one of the most successful and attractive players at Full
Tilt Poker high-stakes tables as he would spend long periods of time at the
high stake tables. According to several online poker news sites, Benyamine has amassed
over $1.5 million in winnings at Full
Tilt high stakes tables this year.
Benyamine’s most memorable tournament participations include a 1st place finish at the Grand Prix de Paris in 2003, a 6th place finish in the L.A Poker Classic in 2004 and a 2nd place finish in the Bellagio Cup IV in July of 2008 as well as three final tables at the 2008 World Series of Poker, including a victory in the $10,000 Omaha Hi/Lo Split World Championship in where Benyamine got the $535,687 first prize and his first WSOP bracelet.
