The Poker Players Alliance, the nonprofit organization dedicated to protect and enforce the right to play poker online, has recently named Dianna Donofrio as its Nevada State Director.

“The PPA is fortunate to have over one million dedicated members, and even more fortunate that Dianna is one of them. As Nevada’s PPA State Director, Dianna will help strengthen the PPA’s efforts both nationally and at the state level. We are proud to have her as part of the PPA team.” said the PPA Chairman, Alfonse D’Amato.

Donofrio was selected as the PPA State Director in Nevada after meeting and interviewing more than 1,000 applicants, however, Donofrio’s credentials and more than 25 years of experience in the gaming industry made her the best candidate to assume the position.

In her 25 years of career, Donofrio worked with the Bicycle Club in as Special Projects Manager, and with Commerce Casino as Satellite Tournament Director at before moving to Las Vegas. She took over the same position at the Four Queens for the Four Queens Classic, as well as a prominent position with the World Series of Poker as Satellite Director.

In 2005, she was transferred over the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino to manage satellites before becoming the Payout Manager. She left the WSOP in 2007 to dedicate her work to organize and direct some of the most important charity events in Las Vegas, including Jennifer Harman’s tournament to benefit the SPCA and Montel Williams’ MS Poker Gala in New York City, where she was named Lead Tournament Coordinator.

As the Nevada State Director for the PPA, Donofrio will be in charge of promoting the PPA and mobilizing its members to attend poker-related events or rallies in the state of Nevada. She will also be in charge of recruiting new members, contacting the elected officials, and serving as a spokesperson for the media.
