Vince Neil brings “The Skylar Neil Memorial Fund” Charity Poker Tournament to Las Vegas

The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas has announced that it will host Vince Neil's 4th Annual “Off the Strip Poker” Tournament inside The Poker Lounge on Saturday, January 17^th, 2009. Music and Hollywood celebrities and professional poker players will join Motley Crue’s front man for a night of No-Limit Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament on benefit of “The Skylar Neil Memorial Fund”, a non profit organization which has raised millions to support innovative cancer, leukemia, and AIDS research.

The tournament, which is limited to 150 entrants, features a $500 buy-in is plus a $50 registration fee. Re-buys and add-ons will be also offered during the event. Players will battle for a $50.0000 guaranteed cash prize pool, with only the final table getting into the money. In addition, the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino will organize a silent auction beginning at 3:00 pm. Neil will join adult film superstars, poker greats and Hollywood celebrities for our cocktail welcome reception. Tournament play will kick off at 4:00 pm.

Right after the end of the tournament, Vince and other guests will meet at the exclusive Wasted Space for a second auction that will include some of Vince Neil’s personal gear and memorabilia. To access the VIP After Party, guest will need to make a $100 donation to The Skylar Neil Foundation.

The proceeds from the poker tournament and charity auctions will benefit The Skylar Neil Foundation, created in 1995 by Vince Neil to honor the memory of his daughter Skylar who died from cancer the same year. Since Skylar’s death, Neil and the foundation have traveled the country raising awareness about children’s illnesses. The Skylar Neil Memorial Foundation has donated over one million dollars to The T.J. Martell Foundation, and it sponsors an annual golf event to raise funds for children with cancer.

Mötley Crüe will also return to Las Vegas as part of their Saints of Los Angeles 2008 Tour in a double feature show scheduled on February 6^th and 7^th at The Joint inside the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel.
