Online poker site PartyPoker.com has recently announced that once again it will be hosting a new edition of the European Open, which according to the site, will be held in London from February 6th to 13th.


All seats for the European Open are already sold out; however, some seats have been reserved by the poker site and are now available at PartyPoker’s store for a fee of 75,000 PartyPoints. The event features a limited field of 72 players and it will be recorded for its local and international distribution. The event itself will first be broadcasted in the UK, while international networks will follow shortly after. The list of players that have confirmed their presence at this year event includes names such as Nick Slade, Juha Helppi, teen poker sensation and WSOPE youngest winner, Annette Obrestad, UK Open champ Michael Keiner, Roland de Wolfe, Ian Frazer, Neil Channing, Ciaran O'Leary, Sam Trickett and Barny Boatman.


The format for this tournament is very particular, the event will feature 12 six-seat Sit n’ Goes, 2 six-seat turbo runner-up Sit n’ Goes and 2 seven-seat semi-final tables, with the top 3 players from each semi-final table moving to the six-seat final table.

The prize pool for the tournament is $504,000, with a total of $200,000 going to the event’s winner. Last year the part-time British player Nick Slade won the fourth European Open, scoring his biggest cash ever and taking the honor of outlasting a final table that included players such as Juha Helppi, Annette Obrestad, Josh Tyler and Ian Fraser.
