Online poker site, FullTiltPoker.com has added the Swedish poker superstar Michael Tureniec to its Team of pros. The 23-year-old from Solna, Sweden is the first Swedish player to be signed with Full Tilt, Tureniec will join several European players on Full Tilt’s tables, including such as Jens Voertmann from Germany, Sigi Stockinger from Austria, Claudio Rinaldi from Switzerland, Nikolay Evdakov from Russia, Alessio Isaia from Italy, Soren Kongsgaard from Denmark, and Trond Erik Eidsvig from Norway.

 

"It feels great to be the first Swede to sign with Full Tilt Poker. This is naturally a large step forward in my poker career!" said Tureniec.

 

Tureniec began playing in 2003, and turned pro in 2006 when he realized that poker was a great way to make serious money. Since the, he has won over half million dollars playing no-limit Hold’em tournaments online, and last year he also proved himself that he can also be a highly profitable tournament player. Last fall, Tureniec won the Master Classics of Poker in Amsterdam, and finished in second place at the European Poker Tour London at the end of September. More recently, he finished in19th place in the 2009 Aussie Millions Main Event. His total earnings from live winnings last year amounted $961,902, while his lifetime live winnings are currently over $1.3 million.

 

Michael Tureniec will be playing a large number of high-stakes tournaments representing Full Tilt Poker, in addition Tureniec will join the exclusive share of players that have an own avatar and private table at Full Tilt Poker, from where he will now play using his real name.
