Executives of the M Resort, the new Las Vegas hotel, resort and casino scheduled to open in March 1st, have informed that they have received unanimous approval from the Henderson Planning Commission to hold outdoor events and live entertainment at property.

The conditional use permit approved by the Planning Commission will allow the resort to organize and hold events such as promotional activities, firework displays, live concerts, exhibitions, outdoor ceremonies and festivals.

Resort representatives told the Commission that most of the events and outdoor activities will be held at the pool area, but they could also take place in any of the grounds located inside the property.

In a letter sent to Henderson planners, the representatives of the M Resort expressed they don't expect that the events would disturb the surrounding neighbors. According to the letter, the nearest homes are more than 800 feet away from the resort, in addition, they also remarked the fact that the resort's architecture and landscaping as well as a series major roads built or planned for the future will also screen and disperse most of the noise created by the outdoor events.

Planning Commission Chairman Dan Shaw said the outdoor events permit given to the M Resort is standard and that it is the same given to other Las Vegas hotels and casinos.

The $1 billion resort located at St. Rose Parkway and Las Vegas Boulevard in Henderson is scheduled to open in March 1st with an exclusive ceremony held at Veloce Cibo, M Resort's 16th floor trendy restaurant and nightclub. M Resort will open with a 90,000-square-foot casino and nine restaurants. The hotel will also include a 60,000 square feet of meeting facilities, a 20,000-square-foot spa, and 2.3 acres of pool area.
