California rockers Sugar Ray will be back in Las Vegas, for a one night show scheduled to take place on September 24th, 2009 at the legendary House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The band is currently working on the release of their first album since 2003 called “Music for Cougars”, which is set to hit the stores July 21st, 2009. The new summer tour is set to kick off on July 11th at the Hard Rock Café in Niagara Falls, New York, and will close on September 27th at the House of Blues in L.A. Sugar Ray will performing songs from their upcoming album, as well as some of their major hits, including "Fly", "Every Morning", "Someday" and "When It's Over."

Formed in 1992 in Newport Beach, California, Sugar Ray became one of the most popular bands from 90s thanks to a handful of mainstream hits. The band reached the top positions in 1997 with the song "Fly" from their first album title “Floored”, and even when Sugar Ray was initially labeled as a one hit wonder, they reached the Billboard Top Ten again in 1999 with two songs from their second album “14:59”, which outsold its predecessor and was certified triple platinum. Their 2001 self-titled album Sugar Ray also produced another hit with "When It's over", which reached the same level of popularity as their previous singles. However, things changed a little for Sugar Ray in 2003 when their record “In the Pursuit of Leisure” was unenthusiastically received by both, critics and fans. Since then, Sugar Ray has been taking some time off, playing occasionally in the U.S and touring in Asia and other regions. During the band's short hiatus, lead singer Mark McGrath pursued his acting and show hosting career, appearing in several TV shows including “North Shore” and in “Las Vegas”.  He also made an appearance in the first Scooby Doo movie with the rest of the band members.
