Veteran heavy metal band Motorhead is making the final preparations for its
new 24 date North American Tour set to kick off on August 28th in

Formed in 1975 in England by former Hawkwind guitarist Lemmy Kilmister
(born Ian Fraiser Kilmister; December 24, 1945), Philthy Animal (born Philip
Taylor) and “Fast” Eddie Clarke, Motorhead soon became notorious due its
forceful and fast sound and its aggressive and rebellious lyrics. Motorhead is
considered one of the most significant heavy metal bands of all times and has
been labeled as the original creator of the speed and thrash metal by numerous
critics and music historians. Motorhead is also considered the main influence
behind the 80’s Bay area Thrash movement, which includes multi platinum selling
artists Metallica, Megadeth, Exodus, Anthrax and Testament.
