Last Sunday's $100,000 Guaranteed Tournament at Bodog Poker was surprisingly won by poker newcomer "giertje" and earned the novice an incredible $25,000 cash prize.
441 poker players were vying for the top prize, a share of $100,000, after paying their $109 buy-in on Sunday. This poker tournament came down to a tense heads-up battle between "giertje" and "zubs1aa" (the winner of the latest Bodog Poker Open Main Event).
Bodog Poker awards over $5 Million each month in cash prizes by way of this popular poker tournament. "zubs1aa" walked away from the poker tournament with a $15,000 cash prize, "TheMasterJ33" came in third place with $9,500 and "nutcracker8390" in fourth with $7,000.
Bodog Poker's $100K Guaranteed Tournament takes place each Sunday starting at 4:00 EST and Bodog guarantees the prize amount no matter how many people sign up for the poker tournament. Bodog was obligated to add $33,850 to last Sunday's poker tournament to make up the difference.
Bodog Poker offers poker players three ways to join this guaranteed tournament-Cheap Seats route, cashing in Bodog Poker Points, or buying-in to the tournament.
