MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and Dawn Elder World Entertainment are proud to present the world premiere of Sahra, an unprecedented event celebrating the Arabic, Middle Eastern and North African music and dance heritage.
The show set to make its debut on Saturday, Nov. 21, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, will bring together international music and film celebrities, including Arab film stars Khaled, Assala, and Rida Al Abdulla, as well as more than 100 musicians and dancers from 23 countries.
Among the artists confirmed for ths one of a kind concert are Algerian-born Khaled (Cheb Khaled), pioneer and king of "pop rai" music, Syrian singer, Assala Nasri, Iraqi singer Rida Al Abdulla, 1-time GRAMMY Nominated Palestinian musician Simon Shaheen, Award-winning Lebanese Choreographer Adam Bassma, Grammy-winner K.C. Porter, and Def Jam's Karina Pasian, as well as recognized performers from North Africa, the Middle East, France and the United States. Besides the concert, Sahra will feature a series of events that includes video montages of beloved works by Middle Eastern film celebrities, late-night dancing with the latest hits in Arabic popular dance music, and much more.
To set the right ambiance for this historic weekend long event, the MGM Grand will undergo through an Arabian makeover in several areas of the hotel and will build a special concert stage exclusively designed to hold the event .The MGM Grand will also offer special Sahra Room & Ticket Packages that include dinning and spa credit, luxury accommodations for 2 or 3 days, and tickets for Sahra.
In recognition of Universal Children's Day, all profits from Sahra will benefit two organizations dedicated to uplift the lives of Arab children around the world: NAAMA Foundation (National Arab American Medical Association) and ACCESS (Arab Community Center or Economic and Social Services).
