TASER Foundation and Fort McDowell Casino team up to host 5th Annual "Hold'em for Heroes" Celebrity Weekend

The TASER Foundation for Fallen Officers will celebrate its 5th annual celebrity poker tournament at Fort McDowell Casino in Arizona from November 19th to 21st, 2009. The weekend long event will kick off on November 19th and will continue on Saturday, November 21st, with a high roller event featuring movie, sports, music and TV celebrities. All proceeds from both tournaments will be used by TASER Foundation to provide financial assistance and aid to the families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty across the U.S and Canada.
The events will provide attendees with the opportunity to play against and rub elbows with some of the best poker players in the world and compete for cash prizes and two seats at the 2010 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. First place will take home a $10,000 seat at the 2010 Main Event, while the second prize winner will take home a $5,000 seat.
In addition to the poker events, the TASER Foundation will also hold a celebrity golf classic at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club, at the Radisson Fort McDowell Resort and Casino on Friday, November 20, 2009. Participation is limited to 75 players.
Some of the professional players attending the event include 11-time WSOP champ and UltimateBet poker pro Phil Hellmuth, Layne Flack, Antonio “The Magician “ Esfandiari, PokerStars pro Greg "Fossilman" Raymer, Jennifer Tilly, Phil Laak, Kenna James, Erica Schoenberg, Jeff Madsen, Roy Winston, Clonie Gowen, Brandon Cantu, Todd and Pamela Brunson, and Arizona's celebrity players, Kevin O'Donnell and Jim Schneider.
Also playing in the event are country music recording artist Mark Wills, pop artist MarvinYoung "Young MC", actors Richard Karn, Gordon Klapp, Greg Itzin, Kevin Dobson, Retired Sheriff John Bunnell (COPS and "World's Wildest Police Videos"), Karri Turner, Paula Trickey, WWE Legends, Sargeant Slaughter (Robert Remus) and Tony Atlas (Tony White) and many more.
