The WSOP November Nine will face each other again at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas today at 2:00 pm their share of over $27 million and the coveted 2009 Main Event gold Bracelet.
The Final Table will be commanded by chip leader Darvin Moon on Seat 1 (58,930,000), British Pro James Akenhead (6,800,000) on Seat 2, Full Tilt Pro and WOP Bracelet Winner Phil Ivey (9,765,000) on Seat 3, Kevin Schaffel (12,390,000) on Seat 4, Steven Begleiter (29,885,000) on Seat 5, Eric Buchman (34,800,000) on Seat 6, Joe Cada (13,215,000) on Seat 7, Antoine Saout (9,500,000) on Seat 8 and Jeff Shulman on Seat 9 (19,580,000).
But before the Final Table kicks off, Harrah's, the World Series of Poker and The Poker Hall of Fame will hold a quick ceremony to announce Mike Sexton's induction into this year's Hall of Fame.
Despite the fact that Ivey is 7th in the chip count, he's one of the favorite players to win this year's Main Event. Party Bets listed Ivey in third position with 5/1 odds, while Bodog.com now has Phil Ivey at 7/2 to win the WSOP main event. Only the chip leader Darvin Moon and Eric Buchman have been listed with better odds to win the Main Event title. The nine players will fight down until 2 remain. The two final competitors will return to the Rio at 10:00 pm on Monday to determine who will take the $8 million prize and and the title of world champion. The final table, which is set to take place at the Penn and Teller Theater, will be open to the public. ESPM coverage of the final heads up will be broadcast to the world on Tuesday, starting at 6 p.m. EST.
