Bellagio once again received the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award, making this the ninth straight win for the Las Vegas hotel. Also receiving the distinction were the Bellagio's own Picasso and Le Cirque restaurants.

There are only five Las Vegas restaurants that have the privilege of earning Five Diamond Awards from AAA, and Bellagio is proud to feature two of them on their property. This makes the seventh win for Sirio Maccioni's Le Cirque which overlooks Bellagio Lake and features world-class wines and haute cuisine.

Picasso Restaurant at Bellagio Las Vegas offers guests Mediterranean cuisine by Chef Serrano, and boasts a collection of Picasso masterpieces and ceramic pieces. The cuisine at Picasso is inspired by regions of France and Spain where Picasso spent a good part of his life.

With these 2010 awards received by Bellagio's restaurants, Las Vegas now ranks in third place among all the cities in the U.S. with the most Five Diamond restaurants. The main reasons that these restaurants at Bellagio have been honored so many times are due to the fact that they provide luxurious surroundings combined with high-quality service and exquisite cuisine.

Over 58,000 restaurants and lodgings are rated by AAA each year with only 113 resorts and 52 restaurants receiving the coveted Five Diamond rating. Some of the criteria evaluated by AAA's inspectors include the exterior of the facility, public areas, guest rooms, amenities and even bathrooms for hotels. Food, service, decor and ambiance are judged for the restaurants.

AAA Nevada spokesman Michael Geeser said, “The economy this past year presented numerous challenges for the hospitality industry. To maintain the highest level of hospitality during these difficult economic times as Bellagio has done is truly remarkable.”
