After months of speculation, it was announced today that Full Tilt Poker has finally reached a deal to sign online heads up expert Tom “Durrrr” Dwan as part of its team of poker pros. Dwan, who for a long time rejected dozens offers from several online poker brands, is one of the most successful and popular poker players in the game today, captivating poker enthusiasts and pros around the world with his unpredictable and aggressive style and his crazy online heads up challenges.


After months of speculation, it was announced today that Full Tilt Poker has finally reached a deal to sign online heads up expert Tom “Durrrr” Dwan as part of its team of poker pros. Dwan, who for a long time rejected dozens offers from several online poker brands, is one of the most successful and popular poker players in the game today, captivating poker enthusiasts and pros around the world with his unpredictable and aggressive style and his crazy online heads up challenges.

Getting involved in poker at the age of 21, Dwan became an Internet sensation after turning a $50 investment into millions of dollars playing online. Tom Dwan has made over $9 million playing online poker, mostly on Full Tilt's high stakes tables, where he regularly plays against some of the top poker pros such as Phil Ivey, Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies, Patrick Antonius and John Juanda.

In January 2009, Dwan issued a $1,000,000 challenge on Full Tilt. Challengers have to put $500.000 and play online heads up for 50,000 hands 4-tabling 200/400 or higher No Limit Hold'em or Pot Limit Omaha.  If his opponent is ahead after 50,000 hands, Dwan agrees to give them $500,000 plus an additional $1,000,000. If Dwan is ahead, then he will his opponent's $500,000. So far, the only player that has accepted Durrrr's Million Dollar Challenge is Patrik Antonius. The two pros have played half of the 50K hands required, with Dwan having a $726,546 lead over Antonius.  WSOP November Nine player Phil Ivey and poker pro David Benyamine are rumored to be next in Durrrr's Million Dolar Challenge.

Dwan has also cashed in live tournaments at the World Series of Poker, European Poker Tour, World Poker Tour, National Heads-Up Poker Championship and Aussie Millions, earning nearly $1 million to date. Hes has appeared on several TV shows, including  NBC's National Heads-Up Poker Championship, where he eliminated Phil Hellmuth after only three hands, the fourth season of Poker After Dark, the third season of Full Tilt Poker's Million Dollar Cash Game, and the fifth season of GSN's High Stakes Poker in which he won the biggest pot on a TV show, taking $919,600 in a hand versus Barry Greenstein.

Now Dwan will join Team Full Tilt members Chris Ferguson, Howard Lederer, Phil Gordon, Jennifer Harman, Gus Hansen, Erick Seidel and many other to represent Full Tilt Poker in some of the largest and most important poker tournaments on the planet.
