In in a state as hot as Nevada it is not a surprise that Las Vegas is known for its spectacular pools and wealth of aquatic fun to be had for the entire family. From Mandalay Bay and its 11 acre beach to the smaller hotel pools and extravagant affairs at some casinos, Las Vegas and its hotels have all the watery real estate you could possibly desire for you and your family to choose from. From taking a dip just to cool off or performing laps on a daily basis, Las Vegas hotels and the surrounding area has every possible design and configuration of pools you can desire.
From the three pools at the Alexis Park resort, to the 6.6 acre main pool complex at the Las Vegas MGM grand, with the 8000 foot long lazy fool river that is heated year-round. While towel service, cabanas and other type of services may vary Las Vegas from hotel to Las Vegas hotel and pool to pool, the similarities are striking, including drink service, Jacuzzis and all manner of other amenities. It seems that the Las Vegas traveler need not go far to find a place to cool themselves with a refreshing dip in cool, placid waters.
One of the most novel features of these pools at the hotels are some of the rafting and inner tubing features. Man-made rivers that span miles and miles offer fun for the entire family in the desert environment, where the water is like a cool blessing in a desert mirage. Floating down a serene backdrop of crystal-clear water and burning desert sands with all the amenities that you could possibly imagine at your fingertips is like a small slice of heaven, as close as most will get to absolute tranquility.
While the assortment of fun to be had at Las Vegas spans from gambling to all manner of entertainment, there is much to be said for just floating around in the pool for hours on end and catching some rays. Families who spend a few too many hours out at night can spend a few hours snoozing by the pool to make up for lost time while enjoying the Las Vegas resort lifestyle, not missing a beat. It is not surprising that Las Vegas has so many pools, as they make a fantastic way to recharge your batteries after an all night spent at the casinos or show halls of Las Vegas, enjoying the Las Vegas nightlife to the fullest.
