Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin to Receive Stars on the Las Vegas Walk of Fame
Legendary crooners Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin will honored by having their stars placed on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars, outside the Flamingo on the Vegas Strip. The "Rat Pack" stars will join the likes of fellow Vegas entertainers Wayne Newton and Siegfried & Roy in a ceremony to be held on February 22nd.
Sinatra and Martin are synonymous with Vegas entertainment due to their many appearances on stage, in film and on TV. Now Sin City is giving back by honoring them permanently on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars. Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin appeared together in the 1960's "Ocean's Eleven" about a plan to rob five Las Vegas casinos in one night.
The Las Vegas Walk of Stars was inaugurated in 2005 as part of the Las Vegas 100 Centennial celebration and Wayne Newton was the first Vegas star to be honored. Other stars to be honored on the famous walk include Bobby Darin, Liberace, Frank Marino, Wayne Allyn Root and Society of Seven.
Dean Martin's daughter, Deana Martin, will be at the ceremony to accept the award for her late father.
