    25 year old law student and avid poker pro Vanessa Selbst has won the North American Poker Tour Mohegan Sun Main Event, defeating a field of 715 players to take the title and the $750,000 first place prize.


    Day 3 of PokerStars.net North American Poker Tour Mohegan Sun Main Event kicked off yesterday afternoon with a field of 125 players battling for the title and  $750.000 first prize.  Poker pro Vanessa Selbst dominated Day 3, finishing in 1st  position in the chip count. Selbst, who began the day third in chips, ended Day 3 as the chip leader with 2.285 million. The skillful pro is closely followed by Scott Seiver, who finished Day 3 with a little more than 2.24 million after entering the the day with only 40,400.


    The first annual North American Poker Tour Mohegan Sun Main Event is officially underway. The $5000 buy in Main Event brought a total of 716 players and forced Mohegan Sun’s officials to open the casino's 15-table poker room, in addition to the Convention Center room, which currently houses 60 tournament tables.


    The PokerStars.net North American Poker Tour has added a $25,600 two-day High Roller Bounty Shootout event as part of its inaugural NAPT Mohegan Sun tournament set to run from March 27th through April 13th, 2010 in Uncasville, Connecticut.


    Ashton Griffin, a 21 year old online poker player from Florida, is the new North American Poker Tour Champion. Griffin won consecutive shootout tables and eliminated six opponents, taking the NAPT Venetian High Roller Bounty Shootout. Griffin, who also finished 7th at the LAPT San Jose, took $560,000 for his victory, the largest live cash out in his short career.


    Online poker pro, Tom 'kingsofcards' Marchese has won the Main Event at the first, taking home the $827,648 prize along with the first PokerStars.net North American Poker Tour championship trophy.


    PokerStars.net and the North American Poker Tour are pleased to announce that Amanda Leatherman will serve as  host for the NAPT Live web broadcast on of the tour. Leatherman will provide web surfers watching the event with player interviews, table coverage and live updates.


    NAPT official sponsor, PokerStars.net and Mohegan Sun have unveiled the schedule and events for the third leg of the first annual North American Poker Tour set to run between March and April at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut.


    The recently launched North American Poker Tour (NAPT) sponsored by PokerStars.net has announced that it has reached an important agreement with cable sports network ESPN to air 16 hours (16 one-hour episodes) of coverage on ESPN2 starting in April, 2010.
