Jeffrey Pollack, who served as World Series of Poker Commissioner since 2005, has announced that he's stepping out from his role with the tournament to "explore new business challenges".

21 year old Joe Cada is the new WSOP Main Event Champion after beating Darvin Moon in the heads-up play early Tuesday morning.

21-year-old Joe Cada from from Shelby Township, Michigan and 46-year-old Darvin Moon of Oakland, Marylan will play the WSOP Main Event final Heads Up today at 10:00pm at the Penn and Teller Theater inside the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino. Cada will lead the chip count  with 135,950,000; while Moon will begin the competition with 58,850,000 in chips.

The WSOP November Nine will face each other again at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas today at 2:00 pm their share of over $27 million and the coveted 2009 Main Event gold Bracelet.

Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier closed the 2009 WSOP Main Event Day 3 as the chip leader with 1,380,500 in chips, followed by fellow Frenchman Ludovic Lacay in second place with 896,000.
